Role Description

As a Help Desk Support Specialist, you will be working closely with the team of developers and engineers working in an Agile environment to support, design, and control data applications and formulate and execute data migration strategy. You must be willing to ask questions and dig deep to identify and solve problems experienced by the team and the customer and have a focus on continuous improvement, making thoughtful suggestions for areas of process enhancement.

In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Nuvitek's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

• Support the operation of a Help Desk (24x7 manning), providing consolidated, comprehensive technical assistance for software maintenance support for a US Government customer.
• Provide technical support for COTS products and customized desktop applications, web applications, databases, user account administration issues, and technical/functional support for individual user problems.
• Support response to system user requests for assistance.
• Support on-the-spot diagnostic evaluation, including resolving the problem/providing support over the phone or escalating the issue to the appropriate tier for resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Isolated environment with an internet connection in which to work remotely.
• Primary work shift will be weekdays Midnights EST but may include weekends periodically.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a background screening and obtain and maintain Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT and 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Requires strong analytical and organizational skills, including strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Experience supporting users of Microsoft products.
