Role Description

Granite Transformations is seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Specialist to join our IT team. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth functioning of our company's computer systems and networks. • Provide timely and efficient technical support to internal and external customers through phone, email, and in-person communication channels
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Install and configure computer systems, including operating systems and applications
• Conduct regular maintenance and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all systems and data
• Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and updates
• Maintain accurate records of all support requests and resolutions in the designated ticketing system
• Train and educate end-users on basic troubleshooting techniques and best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role or similar position
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Mac OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and other relevant business applications
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for solving problems
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, etc.) is a plus
