Role Description

• Greet patients and caregivers professionally via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
• Collect accurate patient demographic information, medical history, and contact details.
• Prepare and process patient admission and discharge documentation.
• Enter patient information into Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management systems.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Verify patient identity and update existing patient profiles as needed.

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services prior to appointments.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required by insurance plans.
• Communicate patient financial responsibilities including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• Process insurance information and ensure accurate billing documentation.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve coverage questions and discrepancies.
• Stay updated on various insurance plans, policies, and procedures.

• Schedule patient appointments based on provider availability and patient needs.
• Send appointment reminders and confirmations via phone, email, or SMS.
• Reschedule and cancel appointments as requested while maintaining optimal provider schedules.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times.
• Manage appointment waitlists and fill cancellations efficiently.
