Role Description

As a Real Appeal Health Coach, you will support members through a virtual, structured, behavior-change-based weight-loss program. Our coaches host live group and 1-on-1 sessions and use written coaching to keep members engaged and supported between live sessions. Coaches permanently work from home and require a designated private workspace.

Must be able to work the following schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 11:30 am - 8:00 pm PT / 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm CT
• Friday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm PT / 9:30 am - 6:00 pm CT

What You’ll Do:

• Build rapport with members and focus on establishing healthy habits by facilitating weekly group sessions that follow the Real Appeal program (which covers nutrition, fitness, and other behaviors that impact health).
• Conduct on-camera 1-on-1 sessions and message members as needed through our integrated online platform to provide support.
• Encourage behavior change and goal-setting/action-planning through our digital platform in every member interaction, using our coaching model that draws on motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and social cognitive theory.
• Provide customer service to help members understand and execute the Real Appeal program.
• Engage with initiatives to support the growth of RVO Health’s coaching business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the health, wellness, or behavior change discipline, or equivalent experience in health coaching.
• Experience working with software programs/online platforms (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, etc.).
• Dedicated work area, separate from other living areas, and providing privacy.
• Must live in a location with high-speed internet.
• Two years of experience helping individuals change health behaviors.
• Two years of experience listening and communicating (written and verbal) with clients.
• Experience doing on-camera virtual presentations.

Requirements

• Starting hourly compensation: $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr
• *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
