Role Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused German Travel Agent to join a leading online booking platform based in Greece, operating remotely from within the country. Key Responsibilities

• Assist German-speaking customers in planning, researching, and booking travel packages, flights, accommodations, and holiday experiences through an advanced online booking platform.
• Provide expert guidance and personalised travel recommendations to clients based on their preferences, budgets, and travel requirements within the tourism industry.
• Handle incoming customer enquiries via phone, email, and live chat in fluent German, ensuring prompt, accurate, and professional responses at all times.
• Process and manage travel bookings, modifications, cancellations, and refund requests in full compliance with company policies and tourism industry standards.
• Proactively upsell and cross-sell premium travel products, insurance packages, and added-value services to enhance the overall customer experience.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate complex travel-related issues efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of service quality and satisfaction.
• Stay up to date with the latest travel destinations, industry trends, promotional offers, and platform updates to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless booking experiences and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery within the tourism sector.

Qualifications

• Native or fluent German language skills (spoken and written) are essential for this role.
• Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement for relocation and employment eligibility in Greece).
• Previous experience in travel, tourism, customer service, or a related field is highly desirable; familiarity with online booking platforms or GDS systems is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with German-speaking customers in a fast-paced tourism environment.
• Good command of English for internal communication purposes and team collaboration.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and effectively in a remote work setting while maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism.
