Role Description

As a French Video-Phone Interpreter, you will:

• Handle calls on demand, rendering the meaning of conversations between French and English speakers.
• Break communication barriers across various industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Utilities, Travel & Hospitality, General Business, Law Enforcement, Court, and 911.
• Process information quickly and concisely while recognizing sensitive cultural differences.
• Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times, using appropriate terminology.
• Participate in online training sessions and deliver interpretation services via video.
• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
• Remain calm during challenging interpreting sessions, especially in emergencies.
• Follow client instructions and maintain compliance with protocol.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in French and English with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Dedicated personal device for business purposes (Desktop/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone).
• High-speed Internet connection with specific speed requirements.
• Access to a quiet space free from background noise.
• Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary for the majority of the workday.
• Must use a headset for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 26 lbs.
