[Hiring] Executive Admissions Representative @American Public University System

Role Description

The Executive Admissions Representative will be responsible for engaging new students considering enrollment into programs at American Public University (APU). This role involves:

• Acting as the first point of contact for prospective students.
• Engaging prospective students via phone and email about their future with the goal of enrollment into APUS.
• Demonstrating sensitivity and ability to effectively relate to and work with prospective students from diverse backgrounds.
• Conducting consultative conversations with prospective students to assess needs and showcase the benefits of an APUS education.
• Presenting tailored solutions to students based on consultative discussions and facilitating enrollment when applicable.
• Meeting and exceeding targeted goals and metrics as provided by department leadership.
• Connecting students to the appropriate departments for document collections, registration, funding, transfer credit, and degree solutions.
• Providing regular follow-ups to prospective students promptly and efficiently.
• Protecting the privacy of students' accounts through compliance with federal student privacy laws (FERPA).
• Evaluating academic records and documents of prospective students for admission to APUS.
• Managing and updating prospective student information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other software applications.
• Collaborating with co-workers and other departments as necessary.

Qualifications

• 5 years of online admissions experience working with adult students in a sales-oriented/consultative focused role.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Salesforce knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong phone presence.
• Passion and enthusiasm for helping and empowering others to succeed.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed as an individual contributor that can meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Self-driven and comfortable making multiple outbound calls per day (high volume) to generate interest, qualify students, and drive the enrollment process.

Work Schedule/Start Date

• This is a full-time remote role with a variety of shifts ranging from 9am-5:30pm or 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays (all in EST).
• This position requires a high-speed Internet home connection and a dedicated workspace.
