[Hiring] Employer Reporting Analyst @Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS)

Role Description

The Employer Reporting Analyst position is designed for candidates ready to provide excellent technical and customer support for employers in Texas public education. Responsibilities include:

• Responding to complex inquiries from reporting employers and agency members regarding TRS laws, rules, policies, procedures, forms, and processes.
• Troubleshooting file transmission issues and effectively communicating resolutions.
• Determining the basis for reporting errors and providing training to prevent reoccurrence.
• Interpreting and explaining TRS laws and rules to enforce electronic reporting requirements.
• Assisting in analyzing the impact of new legislation on Benefit Accounting programs.
• Performing detailed reviews of demographic, payroll, and employment reports for accuracy.
• Reviewing complex report adjustments and assisting with reconciling out-of-balance reports.
• Monitoring monthly report submissions and pursuing delinquent reports.
• Traveling to conduct training presentations and coordinating meeting logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of full-time directly related experience in electronic reporting, banking, accounting, claims processing, benefit processing, or a customer-service related position.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting and business concepts and terminology.
• Understanding of agency reporting employer requirements, policies, procedures, and systems.
• Familiarity with agency laws and rules concerning membership eligibility, compensation eligibility, service credit, and employment after retirement.
• Skills in interpreting, applying, and explaining complex laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to analyze detailed financial reports with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software and other business software.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver training workshops and utilize presentation equipment.
• Capability to provide quality customer service.
