Role Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer support to Dutch-speaking shoppers via phone, email, and live chat, ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of the bol.com retail brand.
  • Assist customers with order inquiries, product information, delivery tracking, and returns or exchanges in line with bol.com's retail policies and procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints and escalations efficiently and empathetically, turning challenging situations into positive retail experiences.
  • Provide accurate guidance on product availability, promotions, and special offers across bol.com's extensive online and offline retail catalogue.
  • Process customer account updates, order modifications, and refund requests with accuracy and in a timely manner using internal CRM and retail management systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and logistics partners to follow up on delayed shipments, stock queries, and fulfilment issues relevant to the retail supply chain.
  • Identify recurring customer concerns and proactively share feedback with team leaders to help improve retail service quality and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions in accordance with company data protection and retail compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Native or fluent Dutch language skills (both spoken and written) are essential for this role β€” all customer interactions will be conducted in Dutch.
  • Valid EU passport or national ID (mandatory for employment eligibility).
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail support, or a client-facing role is highly desirable, particularly within an online or offline retail environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools, CRM platforms, and retail management systems; ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining professionalism and productivity.
  • A good command of English is an advantage for internal communications and training purposes.
