[Hiring] Customer Success Engineer @Roboflow

Role Description

We are hiring Customer Success Engineers to help our self-serve and Corporate customers become successful, independent users of Roboflow. You will have direct input on the evolution of this role, the Customer Success Engineering function, and how Roboflow enables an increasingly large community of computer vision practitioners.

What You’ll Do

• Roboflow's product-led growth customers are building an enormous variety of computer vision applications.
• Customer Success powers up those customers with the technical knowledge, best practices, and structured enablement they need to expand how they use Roboflow and confidently progress from experimentation into production.
• The function operates through two complementary enablement models:
  • Scalable enablement: recurring webinars, onboarding sessions, technical workshops, clinics, office hours, learning journeys, and reusable educational content designed to help large numbers of self-serve customers progress independently.
  • Targeted 1:1 enablement: structured, time-bound delivery of the Targeted Enablement Option Pack for qualifying Corporate customers who need additional guidance through core Roboflow functionality.
• The objective isn't to do the customer's work for them; it is to remove educational friction and give customers the knowledge, tools, and confidence to progress independently.
• You will teach customers how to work effectively with datasets, annotations, model training and evaluation, and the wider Roboflow platform.
• Identify recurring points of friction and turn them into programs and reusable assets that can benefit hundreds or thousands of future customers.

Role And Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and continually improve technical enablement programs for Roboflow's self-serve customer base, covering platform onboarding, annotation strategy and quality, dataset management, model training and evaluation, workflows and deployments and workspace administration.
• Host bi-weekly webinars, technical workshops, office hours, and other live educational sessions.
• Develop learning journeys that guide customers towards increasingly sophisticated use of Roboflow technology.
• Deliver Roboflow's structured 1:1 Targeted Enablement Option Pack for qualifying customers.
• Create reusable technical enablement assets including documentation, videos, walkthroughs, recordings, and reference materials.
• Identify recurring customer questions and turn them into scalable educational programs or assets.
• Monitor customer activation and engagement signals to identify users and cohorts who may benefit from specific enablement programs.
• Measure participation and effectiveness of enablement programs for continual improvement.
• Collaborate with Product to identify and close recurring knowledge and usability gaps.
• Stay current with the latest Roboflow product features, releases, workflows, and recommended best practices.

Technical Proficiency

• Working knowledge of computer vision and machine learning, including datasets, annotation, model training, evaluation, and inference.
• Comfortable using Python and working with APIs, notebooks, and common developer tooling.
• Ability to become highly proficient across the Roboflow platform and demonstrate its workflows confidently to customers.
• Understanding of model evaluation concepts including precision, recall, confidence thresholds, confusion matrices, and common causes of poor model performance.
• Understanding of dataset quality, annotation strategy, dataset versioning, and approaches for identifying difficult or underrepresented examples.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for users with varying levels of ML experience.

Individual Skills

• Technical Teaching: Able to explain unfamiliar technical concepts clearly and adapt the explanation to the customer's level of experience.
• Pattern Recognition: Recognize recurring questions and friction across customer interactions and identify opportunities to solve them systematically.
• Program Delivery: Methodical planning and delivery of structured 1:1 sessions, webinars, workshops, and other customer-facing technical programs.
• Content Creation: Able to create concise, technically accurate educational material across written, recorded, and live formats.
• Workload Management: Manage multiple customers progressing through structured enablement while balancing program delivery and reusable content creation.
• Customer Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally before, during, and after enablement engagements, setting expectations around preparation, outcomes, and next steps.

Bonus Skills

• Experience using the Roboflow platform or contributing to the Roboflow ecosystem.
• Previous experience in Customer Success, technical enablement, Developer Relations, technical education, Solutions Engineering, or technical Support.
• Experience creating technical educational content such as tutorials, videos, workshops, documentation, or developer courses.
• Experience delivering webinars, workshops, technical demonstrations, or customer training.
• Experience working with product-led growth or self-service SaaS customers.
• Experience using product telemetry or customer activation data to inform customer engagement programs.

As an early Customer Success Engineer hire, you'll work closely with Support & Success leadership and partner with Product, Sales, and Field Engineering. You won't simply inherit an established playbook — you'll help build the programs, content, tooling, and working practices that define Customer Success at Roboflow.

Where You'll Work

Roboflow is distributed across the US and Europe. We currently have Hubs in New York City, San Francisco and São Paulo (with plans to open more as we grow density in new cities). We provide opportunities (like team onsites in different cities) and resources (like a $4000/yr travel stipend) to work in person with other team members as much as you'd like, while also supporting remote team members. You can work from one of our Hubs (we offer a relocation bonus), work from home, work at co-working spaces, etc. We want you to work where you work best!

When You'll Work

Roboflow primarily operates during the daytime hours in the US and there are some synchronous meetings you’ll be expected to attend each week.

Onboarding Timeline

• Within one week:
  • Learn about computer vision, our product, company, customers, and vision.
  • Complete the core self-serve Roboflow journey from dataset creation through model training and inference.
  • Begin shadowing customer enablement and Support interactions to understand common customer friction.
• Within one month:
  • Onboard in person with your manager (you'll come to our NY or SF Hub!).
  • Become familiar with the Customer Success Engineer function, Targeted Enablement Option Pack, and its scope boundaries.
  • Shadow and begin participating in Targeted Enablement sessions.
  • Compose your first Targeted Enablement Program.
  • Create or significantly improve your first reusable customer enablement artifact.
  • Participate in 1:many enablement webinars.
• Within six months:
  • Independently own and deliver both recurring 1:many enablement programs and 1:1 Targeted Enablement engagements.
  • Own and improve reusable educational content and enablement programs.
  • Identify recurring customer friction and turn those insights into improvements across Product, Support, and CSE.
  • Demonstrate measurable contribution to customer adoption and scalable reduction of repetitive enablement demand.
