[Hiring] Customer Onboarding Specialist @Remote Recruitment

Role Description

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Customer Onboarding Specialist for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa. You will own the first 30 days of a UK company’s new customers — setup done right, expectations set, and nobody left wondering what happens next.

A good fit if you enjoy guiding people through something new, like a clear checklist, and want a long-term career with a UK business from home in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Run welcome and setup calls with new customers
• Guide customers through account configuration and first use
• Track onboarding progress and chase outstanding steps
• Prepare onboarding documentation and short how-to guides
• Hand completed accounts to the support or success team
• Gather feedback and flag common sticking points

Qualifications

• Experience in onboarding, customer success, training or account support
• Confident running video calls and explaining things simply
• Experience with a CRM or customer platform
• Strong written and spoken English and a well-organised approach
• A reliable fibre connection, a working laptop and a quiet place to work

Requirements

• Experience onboarding customers onto a SaaS product (nice to have)
• Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Intercom or Notion (nice to have)
• Experience building templates or onboarding checklists (nice to have)
