Role Description

Within Aeroflow, the Urology team is comprised of many different roles, with all one purpose – to provide great customer service to our new and current patients.

As a customer account representative, you will focus on:

• Providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handling a high-volume number of both incoming and outgoing phone calls daily.
• Updating account information, such as: product needs, insurance, contact information, etc.
• Calling doctor’s offices to follow up on necessary paperwork needed.
• Reviewing paperwork received by a patient’s doctor.
• Placing resupply orders for current patients that receive incontinence supplies and catheters.
• Researching insurance payer requirements and understanding reimbursement procedures.
• Troubleshooting equipment problems and offering product changes.
• Maintaining knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Maintaining HIPAA/patient confidentiality.
• Regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule.
• Other job duties assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year of call center experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Excellent de-escalation skills.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask – shifting between open applications as you speak with patients.
• Ability to type 40+ words per minute with accuracy.

Requirements

• Knowledge with different types of insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans (preferred).
• DME supplies, specifically with incontinence and catheters (preferred).
