Role Description

The Auction Moderator Assistant will support live fashion clothing auctions hosted on the Whatnot platform. This role requires keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently during live events. The assistant will monitor auctions in real time, take notes, identify and report mistakes, and coordinate with the moderator to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the assistant will enter order details accurately when applicable, helping maintain a seamless customer experience.

• Monitor live auctions and track proceedings in real time.
• Take detailed notes on auction activities, including bids and outcomes.
• Identify and report mistakes or discrepancies promptly to the moderator.
• Communicate effectively with the moderator during live sessions.
• Enter order details accurately into the system when required.
• Assist in maintaining auction records and documentation.
• Provide operational support to ensure auctions run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level coursework in business, communications, or related fields preferred.
• Prior experience in administrative support, customer service, or event coordination is an advantage.
• Familiarity with online auction platforms or e-commerce systems is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain focused in fast-paced, live environments.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Workspace).
• Quick learner with adaptability to new platforms and tools.
