Role Description

As a Patient Access Services Representative, you will be the vital first point of contact for patients entering our care. Your impact will be felt from the very first moment, whether it’s a warm greeting at the front desk or expertly navigating insurance details.

• Responsible for in-person patient intake and registration.
• Provides superior customer service.
• Accurately identifies and obtains authorizations for patients’ insurance.
• Verifies eligibility and benefits.
• Generates patient estimates for services rendered.
• Conducts financial counseling and collects patient liability.
• Demonstrates the ability to resolve customer issues.

Qualifications

• Thrive in fast-paced environments (like ERs, clinics, or specialty care).
• Stellar communication skills and a high emotional IQ.
• Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and a natural problem-solver.
• Experience in patient access, scheduling, or front-office healthcare preferred (but training is available).

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Customer service skills or knowledge of patient financial services.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in the use of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, database software, and typing ability.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for specific settings.
