Role Description

The Compliance, Senior Manager is accountable for strengthening and advancing the organization's compliance program to ensure sustainable regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and a culture of ethics and accountability. This role partners with business leaders to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks, improve organizational performance, and enable responsible business growth while maintaining trust with patients, customers, employees, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Compliance Program Management
  • Support execution of the day-to-day Teladoc Health, Inc. Compliance Program in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Legal and cross-functional teams to support program execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for designated compliance areas.
  • Oversee applicable compliance policies and procedures, including development, updates, and implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and organizational compliance standards.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and evolving compliance best practices.
  • Stay current with applicable laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid, FWA laws).
  • Provide guidance on regulatory matters concerning accessibility.
  • Assist with the development of RCM compliance-based training of relevant information on coding, billing, claims, denials, and revenue integrity to relevant roles.
• Auditing, Monitoring & Controls
  • Manage internal compliance audit controls to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements with a focus on RCM/Billing/Coding.
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced monitoring and additional investigative activities.
  • Monitor compliance activities and track results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct internal audits of processes and procedures and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to development of the annual audit and compliance work plan and reporting of results.
• RCM/ Billing/ Coding
  • Own the RCM/Billing/Claims compliance framework and annual plan: risk assessment, controls inventory, monitoring/audit schedule, policy suite, and training roadmap.
  • Provide routine dashboards and executive reporting on RCM compliance posture, issues, trends, corrective action status, and key risk indicators.
• Investigations & Issue Management
  • Investigate compliance concerns and allegations as necessary and as related to RCM/ Billing/ Coding.
  • Gather and analyze information to determine root causes.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, and other departments during investigations.
  • Assist in investigations related to regulatory inquiries (e.g., CMS, OIG) and internal compliance concerns where appropriate.
  • Ensure issues are escalated appropriately and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Resolve compliance issues and track outcomes.
• Risk Assessment & Regulatory Oversight
  • Lead the annual RCM compliance risk assessment; tailor by business line, modality (synchronous/asynchronous), specialty, and payer segment.
  • Design and maintain preventive and detective controls across the revenue cycle in conjunction with the RCM department.
  • Assist with conducting overall risk assessments and gap analyses.
  • Monitor federal and state regulatory changes.
  • Communicate regulatory impacts to leadership.
  • Develop or support processes necessary to address evolving regulatory requirements.
• Policy Development & Compliance Infrastructure
  • Assist with development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures where indicated.
  • Support implementation of compliance standards and program requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Organize and maintain compliance-related documentation and resources.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Legal and other business functions on investigations and compliance initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to support compliance objectives.
  • Support regulatory responses and compliance-related activities.
• Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze compliance-related data to identify risks and trends.
  • Use findings to improve monitoring, investigative, and compliance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce organizational risk and strengthen program effectiveness.
• General Program Support
  • Support the Chief Compliance Officer in execution of Enterprise Compliance Program.
  • Perform additional compliance-related duties as needed to support the overall program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, legal, finance, or related discipline) preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a related function.
• Experience in regulated environments preferred (e.g., healthcare, financial services, insurance, or similar industries).

Certifications (Preferred)

• Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or equivalent.
• Other relevant certifications in risk, audit, or quality (e.g., CPHQ, CIA, CISA).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal control principles.
• Experience with audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into actionable business practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail, organization, and accountability.
• Proficiency with standard business and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent).

Benefits

• The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $145,000.
• This position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements).
