[Hiring] Vice President, Corporate Communications @Mineralys Therapeutics

Role Description

The Vice President, Corporate Communications is a senior leadership role at Mineralys and is responsible for developing and executing Mineralys' comprehensive corporate communications strategy. Mineralys is moving from a clinical-stage to a commercial-stage company. The role partners closely with the Executive Team, functional leaders, and Investor Relations to align communication strategy with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Communications Strategy:
  • Own the enterprise communications strategy, spanning external and internal audiences.
  • Define the Mineralys corporate narrative and core messaging platform.
  • Establish the communications operating model, including planning calendars and escalation procedures.
  • Set measures of effectiveness for communications and report on outcomes to the Executive Team.
• Corporate Communications and Public Relations:
  • Oversee the creation of all external communications, including press releases and corporate messaging campaigns.
  • Build and manage relationships with key healthcare, trade, and financial media.
  • Lead communications for all significant corporate milestones.
  • Lead issues management and crisis communications.
• Brand, Digital, and Corporate Identity:
  • Own the corporate brand: identity, visual standards, voice, and tone.
  • Partner with Commercial team to ensure brand reinforcement.
  • Own the company's digital presence, including the corporate website and social media channels.
• Internal Communications and Employee Engagement:
  • Build the internal communications function for a rapidly growing organization.
  • Partner with the Executive Team on leadership communications and organizational announcements.
  • Ensure employees understand company strategy and that messaging is consistent.
• Commercial Launch and Beyond:
  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Market Access to develop communications supporting product launch.
  • Build the post-launch communications plan to sustain awareness and stakeholder engagement.
• Investor Relations Support:
  • Partner with Investor Relations and Finance to ensure consistency between corporate and financial communications.
  • Contribute to investor relations activities as needed.
• Building and Leading the Function:
  • Operate as a hands-on leader while establishing the function.
  • Define the structure, roles, sequencing, and budget for the communications team.
  • Select and manage external agencies and vendors.
  • Ensure all communications activities comply with SEC regulations and FDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive corporate communications experience, with substantial experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical sector.
• Demonstrated track record of building a communications function.
• Experience leading communications at a publicly traded company.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle, including clinical data disclosure and product launch.
• Familiarity with the biotech investor and healthcare media landscape.
• Demonstrated internal communications and change communications capability.
• Proven issues and crisis management experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Preferred

• Experience supporting a first commercial launch.
• Experience building and evolving internal communications channels.

Travel

• This position requires up to 20% travel, frequently outside the local area and overnight.

Compensation

• US Salary Range: $320,000 - $335,000
