Role Description

The Senior Employee Communications & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications and community engagement programs that strengthen employee connection, advance our Purpose, enhance organizational culture, and build meaningful relationships with the communities in which the company operates.

This role serves as a strategic communications partner to the Fujifilm Americas Corporate Communications Leadership Team, business leaders, Tokyo-Corporate Communications, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders. The manager translates business priorities into clear, compelling communications that inform, engage, and motivate employees while also supporting the company’s community engagement and social impact objectives.

The successful candidate is an experienced strategic communications professional with a demonstrated track record for developing strategic Communications & Engagement Plans/Strategies who can deliver in speedy, succinct, and real-time communications. The incumbent combines strong writing and storytelling skills with strategic thinking, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, project management, stakeholder management, and an understanding of employee and community audiences.

This position is fully remote and includes occasional travel in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 10-12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, community engagement, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing employee communication strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience developing communications for multiple audiences and communication channels.

Requirements

• Develop and execute integrated employee communication strategies aligned with business objectives, Corporate Communications Strategy, company culture, and organizational priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders and functional teams to develop clear, timely, and engaging communications for employees.
• Create and manage communications across multiple channels, including email, intranet, digital platforms, employee meetings, town halls, videos, newsletters, presentations, and leadership communications.
• Develop select executive communications, including talking points, leadership messages, presentations, town hall materials, and employee announcements.
• Translate complex business information into concise, accessible, and compelling employee communications.
• Support communications related to organizational change, business transformation, culture, employee engagement, and significant company initiatives.
• Establish communication plans, timelines, audiences, messages, and channels for major initiatives.
• Monitor employee feedback and engagement trends and recommend communications strategies based on employee needs and business priorities.
• Develop and implement community engagement strategies that support the company’s corporate citizenship and community investment priorities.
• Partner with business leaders, employees, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to identify meaningful engagement opportunities.
• Lead communications supporting volunteerism, charitable giving, employee-led community initiatives, and corporate social responsibility programs.
• Develop stories and content that demonstrate the company’s impact in local communities.
• Coordinate community events, employee volunteer activities, and engagement campaigns.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase employee participation in community initiatives.
• Measure and communicate the impact of community engagement programs.
• Develop compelling employee and community stories that reinforce company values, culture, Purpose, and business priorities.
• Write and edit articles, newsletters, executive messages, presentations, social content, videos, and other communications materials.
• Identify employee and community stories that can be leveraged across internal and external channels within FUJIFILM Americas, as well as amplified globally.
• Ensure communications are consistent with the company’s brand, voice, tone, and communication standards.
• Collaborate with social media, digital, HR, and external agency partners as appropriate.
• Serve as a trusted, strategic communications advisor to leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Counsel stakeholders on communication strategy, audience considerations, timing, messaging, and delivery.
• Build strong relationships across the organization and understand business priorities and employee needs.
• Provide communications support during organizational changes, business milestones, and other high-priority initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
