[Hiring] Internship in Communications, Newsletter & Social Media @Youth of European Nationalities e.V.

Role Description

Youth of European Nationalities (YEN) is looking for an Intern with a focus on communications, Newsletter and social media for the YEN office in Berlin.

The internship duration is 3 months, starting as soon as possible, ideally before or on 1 September 2026. The location is Berlin-Mitte, Germany or fully online. The application deadline is August 20.

Tasks

• Supporting YEN's day-to-day social media presence: planning, creating, and posting content across channels;
• Supporting the design of visibility material for events, calls, and campaigns;
• Helping produce visual and video content documenting YEN's activities;
• Supporting the preparation and sending of YEN's newsletter;
• Working closely with the Convenor for Communication and the Secretary General on day-to-day communication tasks.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of English; German or additional languages are an advantage;
• Experience or strong interest in social media content creation, graphic design, Newsletter services;
• Familiarity with common design or web tools (e.g. Canva, WordPress, Mailerlite or similar) is an advantage;
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently on assigned tasks;
• Interest in youth work, civil society, or minority rights is an advantage;
• Fluent in English (required for day-to-day communication tasks).

• Certificate of Enrolment with clear indication of a need for an internship as part of their studies;
• If available: a short portfolio or examples of past design/social media/web work;
• If available: references and credentials.
