  • Residency in Denmark (preferably in or near the Copenhagen area).
  • Fluent and flawless written and oral Danish skills and an advanced level of English, with experience in producing engaging and impactful communications materials in both languages.
  • A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change and the green transition.
  • Proven expertise in the Danish political and media landscape and the value of strategic story placement in an international political context; existing media contacts highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Follow the political and media debates in Denmark alongside the team to identify opportunities for engagement and acting as a source of intelligence for colleagues and partners.
  • Proactively plan for crisis communications, preparing strategies and responses for potential issues to manage risks and safeguard climate initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with diverse partners across business, industry, finance, science, civil society, and government.
  • Cultivate and sustain networks with key journalists and editors across mainstream and specialist media to secure impactful coverage.
  • Identify and leverage new channels, platforms, and influential messengers to expand the reach and amplify the voices of our partners.
  • Execute communication strategies by delivering and/or overseeing high-quality materials and interventions, including press pitches, media briefings, and campaign content.
  • Co-create and implement campaigns around key political moments, coordinating with in-house insights and digital specialists to ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Provide capacity building for partners by setting high standards for shaping, drafting, and pitching content that boosts climate action.
  • Line manage the Danish desk team member(s), setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development to foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
