[Hiring] Communications Specialist @Equiliem

Role Description

As a Communications Specialist at Equiliem, you will help bring our brand, culture, expertise, and story to life across internal and external communications. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this role will manage and execute day-to-day communications across internal communications, social media, digital channels, content development, and other marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and creative communicator who can manage multiple priorities, understand different audiences, and turn ideas and business information into clear, engaging, and on-brand communications.

What You'll Do

• Internal & External Communications:
  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute internal communications, including company updates, employee announcements, recognition, leadership messages, newsletters, and other company communications.
  • Create and adapt content for internal and external audiences across email, social media, blogs, campaigns, presentations, events, and other marketing channels.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts and internal stakeholders to translate business information and expertise into clear, engaging communications.
  • Support communications that enhance the candidate, contract employee, internal employee, client, prospect, and community experience.
  • Help maintain a consistent Equiliem voice, messaging, visual identity, and overall brand experience across communication channels.
• Social Media & Content:
  • Manage day-to-day social media content, including editorial planning, writing, scheduling, coordination, monitoring, and engagement.
  • Maintain communications and content calendars while coordinating deadlines, approvals, creative assets, and publishing schedules.
  • Develop content that supports Equiliem's brand awareness, thought leadership, employee engagement, recruiting, sales, and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and update digital content as needed to ensure information remains current, accurate, and aligned with marketing priorities.
• Collaboration & Brand Support:
  • Partner with employees, leaders, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders across Equiliem to identify communication needs and opportunities.
  • Support company events, employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, public relations efforts, awards, community initiatives, and other brand-building activities.
  • Help ensure communications remain consistent with Equiliem's brand standards and broader Marketing & Communications strategy.
  • Use AI and other technology to support research, drafting, editing, content adaptation, planning, and workflow efficiency while maintaining appropriate human review and brand standards.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, content development, social media, public relations, or a related field.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt tone and content for different audiences, channels, and communication objectives.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and brand standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, leaders, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders.
• Comfort working with digital communications platforms, social media, content management systems, and emerging AI tools.
• A creative, curious, and resourceful mindset with the ability to turn ideas into polished communications with appropriate independence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Experience managing internal and external communications for a B2B or professional services organization.
• Experience with social media management, email marketing, content management, and basic analytics.
• Familiarity with JobDiva (ATS), Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, SharePoint, content management systems, social media management platforms, and marketing automation tools.
• Experience within staffing, workforce solutions, professional services, or another relationship-driven industry.

Compensation, Benefits & Work Details

• Budgeted Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.

Working Conditions

This is a remote position requiring effective collaboration in a virtual environment. The role primarily involves computer-based work during normal business hours and regular coordination with Marketing and stakeholders throughout Equiliem. Occasional travel or participation in company meetings, events, content activities, or other in-person activities may be required.
