[Hiring] Supplier Business Development Manager @ScanSource

Role Description

The Supplier Business Development Manager is responsible for owning assigned supplier(s) strategy, identifying and enabling sales partners to sell supplier(s) technologies, internal sales support, building and maintaining deep supplier relationships, and increasing financial growth for the assigned supplier(s). Maximizing supplier revenue, increase in number of transacting/active partners, and exceeding growth goals will also be a key part of this position. This position is the face of Intelisys to our suppliers and sales partners and expected to be a role model of professionalism.

• Define and drive key business objectives to achieve supplier revenue and growth
• Develop and plan for supplier growth and retention strategies to increase share of wallet and relationship with assigned supplier(s)
• Work closely with supplier(s) to build and execute supplier business and annual marketing plans, in conjunction with supplier program manager (where applicable)
• Work closely with sales org to ensure alignment with supplier(s) in the field
• Successful identification of prospective new and existing dormant partners to drive sales growth and development of partner base
• Maintain high profile for assigned supplier(s) to further productive relationships
• Present Intelisys message to existing partners and prospects through one-on-one engagements, live meetings, or recorded events
• Present (as requested) to supplier(s) and Intelisys senior leadership
• Understand the competitive landscape of both the distributor and supplier(s)
• Conduct quarterly pipeline and business reviews for assigned supplier(s)
• Monitor pipeline, partner base, and performance to goal for assigned supplier(s)
• Maintain product and program knowledge of assigned supplier(s) and competitors
• Assist with partner and/or supplier escalations as requested by internal teams
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Qualifications

• 4+ years of previous experience in a supplier-focused, sales, or business development role
• Deep understanding of distribution channel strategies
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritize, plan, and execute
• Experience with financial reporting and forecasting
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; preferably in business, marketing, or management
• Prior sales or account management experience
• Supplier certification(s)
• CRM (e.g. Salesforce) experience

Physical and Travel Requirements

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time
• Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location or remote location during normal business hours designated for the position
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
• Ability to lift 20 pounds

Compensation

Base Range: $63,750 - $75,000 and total compensation range: $85,000 - $100,000. Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. For non-sales roles and sales roles with a variable component, total compensation reflects both a base salary and variable targets.
