[Hiring] Strategic Alliance Manager @Open Text Corporation

Role Description

Our Senior Strategic Alliance Manager’s (SAM) are responsible for the design & execution of our partner strategy in their assigned territory.

• Focus on growing revenue with partners in assigned regions, including strategic partnerships with SAP and Cap Gemini.
• Conduct territory & competitor analysis as part of the go-to-market (GTM) planning process.
• Engage in local events, sales meetings, account planning sessions, and local marketing events.
• Qualify and solidify the value proposition of Open Text for customers to establish the sales cycle.
• Build relationships and assist partners while ensuring Open Text goals are met during sales pursuits.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various Open Text resources including Sales, Presales, Marketing, Global Alliances, Customer Support, and Product Management.
• Articulate the business transformation impact of OpenText Solutions for target markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of field sales experience or related partner management and partner sales experience.
• Demonstrated track record to meet or exceed quotas in direct field sales or partner management roles.
• Experience working with license sales teams at SAP and large software and/or SaaS vendors.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
• Strong program and project management skills.
• Ability to operate with all levels of an organization with a high degree of diplomacy.
• Experience in developing enabling programs for sales and partner channels.
• Ability to articulate and communicate business-level value propositions of complex solutions to external audiences.

Requirements

• Work with sales leadership to define market opportunity, strategy & business plan for strategic partners.
• Manage & report progress to plan throughout the year.
• Engage all stakeholders internally & externally to realize the business plan.
• Understand the partner’s political structure and build senior executive champions.
• Coordinate & support enablement activities for various roles including sales & technical consultants.
• Coordinate & support Demand Generation activities to grow pipeline.
• Manage localization requirements with the partner and OpenText product management.
• Learn & share best practices with other regional partner leaders and stakeholders.

Compensation

Salary Range: $150,300 - $225,500 plus commissions; actual salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market.

California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education.
