[Hiring] Retail Business Development Partner @Fifth Third Bank

Role Description

Responsible for building strong relationships that allow for expanding and deepening the Fifth Third customer base. Provides guidance, coaching, and development support across the retail division on business development activities to drive consumer and small business household acquisition.

• Identifies and shares best practices for successful team execution of the sales process.
• Partners with leadership to collaborate on key small business and consumer household growth opportunities.
• Collaborates with sales team to manage a pipeline of companies and expand existing relationships.
• Identifies new business opportunities through one bank partnerships.
• Responsible and accountable for risk management and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Banking experience.
• 5+ years sales management experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong business acumen.
• Ability to collaborate and build strong One Bank partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation/facilitation communication skills.
• Exhibits effective problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong sales and sales coaching abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and realize new sales opportunities.

Requirements

• Provide proactive coaching support on key business development behaviors.
• Guidance on tools and resources for business development processes and products.
• Calls on and partners with companies/organizations at the Middle Market level and above.
• Professionally presents Fifth Third products and services at employer/employee on-site meetings/seminars.
• Assist with navigating processes between Commercial, Business Banking, and other LOB RMs.
• Attends and actively participates in One Bank Leadership meetings.
• Develops detailed plans to meet or exceed assigned sales and customer service goals.
• Work closely with assigned Markets/Regions/Financial Centers to deepen existing relationships.
• Responsible for effective communication when interacting with teams and partners.
• Attend and facilitate Market Job Family meetings for Business Development topics.
• Assist Retail Financial Centers with business customers to determine the right channel.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Small Business Banking products/services.
• Assist Financial Centers with complex small business solutions for customers.
• Partner with Financial Centers to maximize revenue contribution while mitigating risk.
• Embraces change and models the way by working cross-functionally and collaboratively.
