Role Description

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Business Development Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to dive into federal contracting. Reporting to the President, you will support the identification and pursuit of construction and environmental opportunities, build key relationships, and contribute to our capture and growth strategies. This position offers hands-on training in proposal development, client engagement, and market analysis, with opportunities to travel and network at industry events. • Assist in building and maintaining a capture pipeline by researching federal opportunities in construction and environmental services.
• Conduct client visits to federal agencies to gather intelligence and foster relationships.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking conferences to generate leads and promote our brand.
• Support the President and Operations leads in developing branding and marketing strategies.
• Learn and contribute to proposal writing by researching requirements and drafting sections.
• Drive lead generation through proactive networking and cold outreach.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to evaluate opportunities for profitability.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
• Perform administrative tasks such as CRM data entry and report generation.
• This role involves up to 50% travel for client visits, events, and site assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, Construction Science, Environmental Science, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
• 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or federal contracting; internships in government relations, marketing, or construction are a plus.
• Strong interest in federal procurement processes, with basic knowledge of government contracting preferred but trainable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport in professional settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools or research platforms.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Requirements

• Salary range: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00.
