Role Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on business development in the Clean Energy Solutions industry, specifically on:

  • Innovative, sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging
  • Off-grid energy solutions
  • Energy storage
  • Energy security
  • Outdoor media

You will be the lead on servicing existing client relationships and new client development to achieve overall growth objectives.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies and tactics for identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities for selling EV and clean energy solutions.
  • New business generation, attention to detail, and building customer relationships.
  • Collaborating with a Construction Manager and a Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the EV charging or Renewable Energy technology sectors.
  • Proven success in cold calling and developing new business from the ground up.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience scaling revenue at a fast-growing or public company.
  • Strong understanding of the EV charging industry and Renewable Energy market dynamics.
  • Expertise in B2B and potentially B2C sales models.
  • Experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and customer databases.
  • Experience selling EV-related technology, Energy Solutions, or solar (commercial or residential) is highly preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Requirements

  • Proactively generate new leads and opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and industry outreach.
  • Qualify prospects and manage the sales funnel from initial contact to close.
  • Develop customized proposals based on customer needs and company offerings.
  • Educate prospective customers on the Company’s EV charging and Energy Solutions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals and KPIs.
  • Track and manage all sales activity using CRM (Salesforce) tools.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, business owners, facility managers, and commercial developers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support deal flow and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the Company at trade shows and networking events.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for growth across B2B, B2C, and government segments.
  • Lead brand strategy, positioning, and storytelling across channels.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Cultivate relationships with strategic customers and partners.
  • Identify and close major enterprise and government sales opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
