Role Description

Boomering is currently looking for a highly driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to support one of our Australian insurance industry clients. This opportunity is ideal for a true sales hunter with strong experience in the Australian insurance market who thrives in building relationships, generating new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate will confidently represent a premium insurance-focused business while managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to conversion.

We are seeking someone polished, commercially smart, highly personable, and passionate about sales and business development. This role operates within Australia’s intermediated insurance sector, where broker relationships, customer experience, and long-term partnerships are key to success.

Your Responsibilities as a Business Development Manager Would Be:

• Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth within the insurance sector
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders
• Identify new sales opportunities and convert leads into long-term partnerships
• Conduct discovery calls, client presentations, and consultative sales discussions
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline while achieving KPIs and sales targets
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes
• Utilize CRM systems and modern sales tools for workflow management and reporting
• Stay informed about insurance products, market trends, and competitor activity
• Represent the business professionally in all client interactions

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar sales-focused role
• Minimum of 1-year Australian insurance industry experience
• Strong background in insurance sales
• Excellent English communication skills — both verbal and written
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Professional, polished, and confident client-facing approach
• Strong sales mindset with a hunter mentality
• Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and sales tools
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new products and processes
• Highly self-motivated, committed, and results-driven
• Strong organizational and pipeline management skills
• Experience working with Australian clients or within the Australian market
• Experience in a broker/intermediated insurance environment
• Experience using HubSpot and Winbeat is a plus
