Role Description

Thangs is growing fast and we need a dynamic business developer to help grow our designer community, forge innovative industry partnerships, and work with designers to help drive their business success.

  • Craft a designer outreach and recruitment strategy to identify and bring established and high-potential designers to Thangs.
  • Act as a strategic partner for designers as they establish and grow their business.
  • Direct designer growth and explore options for expanding their business.
  • Build strategic business partnerships with brands that complement Thangs’ missions.
  • Collaborate with members of the marketing and community team to facilitate designer success.
  • Combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution with an emphasis on relationship building in a fast-paced, designer-first environment.
  • Identify, nurture, and close new leads through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, emailing, and social selling.
  • Develop and execute designer outreach and nurture strategy with guidance from the Associate Director of Marketing.
  • Serve as an enablement partner, collaborating with the Marketing and Community team to onboard designers and ensure early success on the Thangs platform.
  • Take a leadership role in meeting Thangs’ designer outreach and growth goals.
  • Support revenue growth for designers, including identifying new opportunities and partnerships.
  • Develop creative industry partnerships and new revenue opportunities for Thangs.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements with designers and business partners as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in marketing, sales, or account management.
  • Proven ability to generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the lead nurture and conversion process.
  • Ability to identify, negotiate, close, and execute strategic business partnerships.
  • Experience using a CRM database, Hubspot preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, self-starter with strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy and awareness of the unique needs of creative professionals.
  • Familiarity with the 3D modeling, CAD, or additive manufacturing ecosystems.
  • Fluent in English, bonus if you have multi-lingual capabilities.
