United's CDR team plays a critical role in protecting our operations by enabling secure and resilient systems, managing threats and vulnerabilities, and ensuring swift response and recovery. The Responsible AI Tech Senior Engineer’s primary responsibility is to implement the proper security infrastructure and technological integrations to enable the needs of both Cybersecurity and its internal business partners. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring infrastructure is secure by design.
• Launching new tools and building agents/software for automating compliance within United’s cybersecurity policies.
• Working closely with Digital Technology, UA business teams (marketing, advertising, etc.), and other Cybersecurity partners.
• Focusing on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of responsible AI systems and external software aimed at protecting customer data and reducing risk.
• Serving as key contacts within Cybersecurity for integration and upkeep.
• Providing ongoing support and maintenance for Cybersecurity processes and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, with preference for STEM, Cybersecurity, Computer Science.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and its application in large enterprises.
• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI, Agent365, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or other generative AI tools.
• Skill in navigating complex system architecture and partnering to determine root cause.
• Expertise in modern software lifecycle development and automated cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Understanding of policies that reflect Cybersecurity objectives.
• Skill in communicating with all levels of management.
• Ability to perform in a dynamic environment to strict deadlines.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Requirements

• Master's degree (preferred).
• Risk Management experience.
• CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIPP, CIPT certifications.
• Hands-on experience with AI Governance vendors and AI tools/platforms.
• Knowledge of organizational standards and policies (ISO, NIST).
• Knowledge of compliance regulations (SOX, PCI, FAA, GDPR, PII).
