[Hiring] IT Architect/Data Scientist @DLH

Role Description

This role provides support to our client in cloud architecture, data interoperability, and security engineering support for the SCHARE platform and related data environments. This includes:

• Secure cloud configuration
• Metadata architecture
• System integration across platforms
• API enablement
• Compliance with agency and federal government cybersecurity and information management regulations and requirements

The role also supports ATO-related activities in coordination with the agency CIO organization, including:

• Preparation of technical artifacts and remediation support
• Implementation and maintenance of technical controls
• Vulnerability remediation
• Securing data environments to ensure ongoing compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, bioinformatics, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience and appropriate technical certifications
• At least twelve (12) years of experience in information technology
• At least four (4) years leading or performing data engineering or related functions
• Strong problem decomposition skills and experience manipulating big data
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Demonstrated communication skills both oral and written
• A deep interest in data science and artificial intelligence
• Advanced experience in predictive modeling and pattern recognition
• Strong background in data mining, statistics, and mathematical modeling
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and MATLAB
• Thorough understanding of federal requirements pertaining to data security, especially PII, and PHI
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Requirements

• Basic Compensation: $180,000 - $190,000 yearly salary
• The salary range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting
• The final offer may vary based on skills, experience, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity
• Additional compensation may include performance incentives and program-specific awards
