Role Description

Join a strategic AI transformation initiative for one of the largest banking organizations in Germany. The project is currently entering the final phase of a high-impact Proof of Concept that aims to modernize and accelerate the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through AI-enabled engineering practices, cloud-native architecture, and modern DevOps tooling. This engagement is expected to evolve into a long-term enterprise transformation program with broader implementation scope and team expansion.

• Work directly with client architects, engineers, and stakeholders to define business and technical requirements
• Design and implement AI-enabled, cloud-native solutions in enterprise environments
• Lead PoC delivery hands-on within the live codebase
• Coach and support engineering teams through pairing and technical leadership
• Drive modernization of SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and developer workflows
• Support transition from pilot delivery into scalable long-term implementation
• Collaborate across architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, security, and observability domains

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Consultant in enterprise environments
• Hands-on expertise with Azure cloud-native solutions, including AKS and event-driven architectures
• Strong backend experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring, or similar JVM technologies
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Strong knowledge of GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
• Experience integrating modern SDLC tooling across testing, security, observability, and deployment pipelines
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English

Requirements

• Experience in banking or regulated enterprise environments (Nice to have)
• Experience migrating from Jenkins or TeamCity to GitHub Actions (Nice to have)
• Familiarity with tools such as Wiz, SonarQube, Playwright, Selenium, Nexus, Quay, Dynatrace (Nice to have)
• German language skills (Nice to have)
