[Hiring] AI Research Intern @GE HealthCare

Role Description

We're looking for PhD students who are active in AI/ML areas and are passionate about developing next generation AI technologies that will have profound impact on medicine and healthcare. You will be working with top researchers and domain experts in the field of AI for health to develop new deep learning solutions and to prepare research publications for leading AI venues.

• Medical imaging foundation models across diverse imaging types, diseases, organs, etc.
• Multi-modal medical imaging analysis and report generation
• LLMs for clinical efficiencies
• Multimodal phenotyping for accurate disease diagnosis, subtyping, and progression modeling, as well as patient retrieval, trial matching, and health monitoring
• Responsible AI (e.g., interpretable models, trustworthiness, fairness, etc)
• Multimodal EMR generation

As an AI research intern at GEHC, you get to work on the most cutting-edge and exciting projects. You will have access to petabytes of data, state of the art computing resources, and professional support from domain experts.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a PhD or master's degree in computer science or related areas, or entering into a PhD program in the fall of 2026
• Experience in one area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization)
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, etc.)
• In-depth experience with Spark/Hadoop and either PyTorch/Tensorflow
• Experience creating production environment data analytics and applications

Requirements

• Extensive experience with handling noisy real world medical and patient data
