[Hiring] AI/ML Expert - Search / Retrieval @Crop.photo

Role Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Search / Retrieval expert to quickly diagnose and fix core search issues over the next few months.

• Improving search relevance, ranking & filtering
• Optimizing hybrid search (BM25 + vector / kNN)
• Debugging and tuning production search pipelines

Qualifications

• Strong experience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch
• Deep understanding of ranking, filtering & relevance tuning
• Proven track record of building production-grade search & retrieval systems (beyond basic LLM apps)
• Ability to quickly diagnose and unblock real-world systems

Requirements

• Not looking for generic ML / prompt engineers
• Must have built and tuned live systems (apps/products we can evaluate)
