[Hiring] AI Innovation Specialist @Harris Computer

Role Description

The AI Innovation Specialist will work directly with our VP of AI Innovation to build AI into the foundation of how our portfolio operates across 25+ healthcare software businesses. This is a role for someone who's already building with AI and wants to do it at real scale inside a complex organization. The AI Innovation Specialist is eligible for anyone who can work remote within the U.S.

• Build AI-powered prototypes that solve real problems across our business units, often moving from concept to working demo in a matter of days.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to ship software faster and show engineering and product teams what's within reach.
• Work with business unit leaders to find high-value AI opportunities and turn them into concrete projects.
• Lead and co-facilitate workshops and working sessions that build AI fluency across the organization.
• Document what works, share findings, and help teams develop repeatable AI practices.
• Contribute to the development of Harris's AI maturity framework and related tooling.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical, product, or innovation-adjacent role.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience building using AI tools. You've shipped something using Claude, GPT, Cursor, or similar, and you can show your work.
• Comfortable communicating technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Genuinely curious. You dig into problems, ask good questions, and get as much out of teaching others as you do from learning something new.
• You follow through. When you take something on, it gets done, and people know they can count on you for it.
• Positive by default. You bring energy to ambiguous situations and make the people around you better.
• Healthcare or enterprise software background is a plus, not a requirement.

Requirements

• This role requires travel to Harris business units and partner sites, up to 25% of the time.
• Travel commitments are expected throughout the year, with monthly travel frequency varying based on project and business requirements.
