[Hiring] AI Automation Specialist @Bamboo Works

Role Description

We're looking for a highly capable AI Automation Specialist who can design, build, and continuously improve AI-powered bookkeeping and accounting workflows. This is not a traditional automation role. We're looking for someone who understands both technology and business processes—someone who can identify automation opportunities, architect intelligent solutions, and rapidly turn ideas into production-ready systems.

You'll work closely with leadership to develop scalable AI agents, integrate business systems, and build automation frameworks that can evolve into a commercial AI platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building AI-powered workflows, agents, or automation systems (at least 2-3 years)
• Strong experience with Claude and Claude Code
• Experience designing and deploying agent-based or multi-agent systems
• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development
• Experience building practical AI solutions for real business environments
• Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, workflow automation platforms, and system integrations
• Strong understanding of workflow architecture, process optimization, and systems design
• Ability to independently design, build, deploy, and continuously improve automation solutions
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Requirements

• Experience within accounting, bookkeeping, financial services, or fintech
• Experience automating accounting or finance workflows
• Experience with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, QuickBooks, MYOB, Zoho, or Odoo
• Experience building SaaS products or internal business platforms
• Experience developing AI products intended for commercialization
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, databases, webhooks, and event-driven architectures
