The "Virtual ASIC" team at Fraunhofer IIS is part of the European Chips Act through projects such as EUROPRACTICE and EuroCDP. Together with our experienced team, you will help lower the barriers for academic users, startups, and medium-sized companies – from their first idea to first prototypes and finally to a real product.

Your mission: together with the team we support our users in getting their ASIC projects ready for fabrication.

• Customer support: You support customers with issues in the design flow.
• Design rule checks: You run Design Rule Checks (DRC) on customer designs.
• Design submission: You submit verified designs for fabrication to semiconductor foundries.
• Packaging support: You support customers in finding suitable packaging solutions.
• Delivery coordination: You coordinate the delivery of prototypes to the end customer.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• You have basic experience with EDA tools (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens).
• You are interested in supporting users worldwide.
• You can analyze complex technical requirements.
• You are motivated to complete your tasks on time and meet foundries deadlines for timely submissions.
• You communicate confidently in English in an international team; German skills are very welcome.
