Role Description

This role supervises approximately seven Workers' Compensation adjusters handling Pennsylvania claims and is responsible for driving claim quality, technical excellence, employee development, and operational performance. The Supervisor serves as a trusted resource for adjusters, leadership, and business partners while ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation regulations and Corporate Claim Standards.

The position combines leadership responsibilities with technical oversight, requiring a strong understanding of:

• Compensability analysis
• Litigation management
• Reserving practices
• Return-to-work strategies
• Claim resolution

The successful candidate will:

• Coach and develop adjusters
• Conduct file reviews
• Support complex claim strategy discussions
• Help create a high-performing team environment focused on quality, accountability, and service

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Workers' Compensation claims handling experience
• Strong working knowledge of Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, and claim handling practices
• Prior supervisory, leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience
• Experience handling claims from investigation through resolution
• Strong understanding of compensability determinations, reserve management, medical management, litigation oversight, return-to-work strategies, and settlement negotiations
• Ability to coach and develop claims professionals
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Reliable attendance during established business hours

Requirements

• Prior supervisory or people-lead experience within Workers’ Compensation
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• AIC, CPCU, or ARM preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required
