Role Description
The Warehouse Control Systems Technician supports the design, planning, implementation, and ongoing support of our warehouse controls systems such as Conveyor, Print and apply, Opex, Modula, etc.
- Primary responsibility focused on design, testing, implementation of conveyor systems and ongoing PLC support with programming and troubleshooting of concerns from the LC's in all Americas time zones.
- Provides feedback on design plans using experience and expertise to help improve the overall design plan.
- Provides oversight of vendors during onsite project phase, giving guidance and process flows to be followed for conveyor design goals.
- Works with vendors to learn new technology, automation, and programming for our equipment.
- Follows established procedures for troubleshooting various LC needs using problem solving, data, observation, and user feedback to find resolution.
What You'll Do
- Design review and support for new projects.
- Support for project testing and implementation as well as hypercare support.
- Review Teams chat for support needs and provide on-call support for all LC's PLC/Conveyor related needs.
- Creating documentation on conveyor related processes and training to that documentation.
- Partnership with Maintenance team in support of conveyor improvements.
- Reviews data/performance metrics and provides recommendations to increase efficiency for existing conveyor as well as future enhancements.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience.
- Technical Education in PLC Programming, Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 (Ladder Logic).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, PLC Programming.

- Able to stand/walk for long extended periods.
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and/or comply with all safety protocols as required.
- Able to talk on the phone (or wear a headset) for long periods of time.
- Ability to stay aware and alert while performing work.
- Ability to transport 40 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Distribution center environment may include exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, high places, wet and/or humid conditions, and outside weather conditions.
- Consistent non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
- On-call availability required as necessary.
- May be required to work in shifts (timing subject to business needs).
- Remote / Work-from-home.
- Local (in-country) travel required.
- Frequent Travel Required (25%).
