Role Description

Join our dynamic UK Engineering team as a Virtual Design & Construction Technician, where you will play a crucial role in supporting new project delivery. You will integrate construction programmes, BIM models, and methodologies to create coordinated 4D simulations that enhance programme certainty, improve execution readiness, and mitigate risks across Siemens Energy projects. Imagine developing time-based visualizations, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring that your insights facilitate effective decision-making. Your expertise in digital construction will be key as you work independently on complex tasks, driving innovation and efficiency in our projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), BIM, or digital construction role, preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical problems, as expected for an Experienced Professional (P2) level.
• Strong skills in digital construction, 4D simulation, and BIM software such as Navisworks and Autodesk Revit.
• Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration abilities to facilitate effective teamwork.

Requirements

• Integrate project planning schedules (e.g., P6) with BIM models to produce accurate 4D simulations.
• Create and maintain time-based construction visualizations that support execution planning, logistics, and access strategies.
• Design 3D models for site logistics, temporary works, and specific construction activities.
• Ensure models reflect design development, programme resequencing, and changes in execution strategy.
• Contribute to the development of integrated construction programmes that align with engineering maturity and procurement constraints.
