Role Description

Texas Oncology is looking for a Virtual Care Project Coordinator to join our team! These positions will support the Virtual Care Program and will work remotely. We are only able to consider candidates across the state of Texas. Typical hours for this position are Mon-Fri from 8a-5p.

Under direct supervision, performs a wide variety of professional analytical and administrative duties in support of assigned functions for region; performs duties in support of Executive Directors and Regional Practice Directors including special projects, research, budget analysis and other specialized functions; coordinates and performs a variety of activities that support the region. Relies on education, guidelines, policies, and legal requirements to perform responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of professional level research, administrative, and analytical duties in support of assigned functions for Executive Directors, Regional Practice Directors and region.
  • Perform duties in support of various administrative operations and activities within assigned area of responsibility including special projects, research studies, budget analysis, and other specialized functions for region.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and priorities for assigned functions; make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive technical, administrative, and financial analytical and statistical reports that present and interpret data, identify alternatives, and present and justify conclusions, forecasts, and recommendations based on data summaries and other findings.
  • Assist ED’s and RPD in the budget development and administration for assigned area of responsibility; maintenance of expenditures; prepare reports and analyses related to impact of budgetary decisions; track and monitor budget expenditures.
  • Provide assistance in resolving operational and administration issues; identify issues and conduct analysis to find alternative solutions; make and assist in the implementation of recommendations.
  • Coordinate, implement, and monitor special projects within assigned area of responsibility; perform complex research and analysis of new procedures; prepare and present reports relative to processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities associated with assigned duties; participate in meetings and evaluation of proposed recommendations; assist in putting measurements in place and monitor compliance.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and conduct marketing and outreach programs; prepare marketing material including brochures, posters, articles, advertisements, flyers, schedules of events, and pamphlets; attend and participate in community groups and meetings; educate the public on assigned programs.
  • Provide staff assistance to higher-level management staff; participate on and provide staff support to a variety of committees; prepare and present staff reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with departments, divisions and outside agencies; serve as a liaison to assist region with obtaining information and serves as a resource.
  • Respond to inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; college course work in business administration or relevant equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • Perform a full range of responsible analytical and administrative duties in support of assigned functions, and region involving the use of independent judgment and personal initiative.
  • Research and analyze problems and prepare recommendations on a variety of issues.
  • Understand the organization and operation of assigned department and outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
  • Collect, evaluate and interpret complex information and data.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records on programs and operations.
  • Assist with budget preparation and administration.
  • Independently prepare correspondence and memoranda.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Working Conditions

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve virtual interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients.
