Role Description

The Vice President, Chemical Engineering & Process Innovation will advance Asymchem’s chemical engineering capabilities to support the next generation of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. This leader will work with teams across the organization to:

• Advance process engineering and expand continuous manufacturing.
• Accelerate progress toward more automated, data-driven operations.
• Extend successful technologies and practices across client programs and global sites.
• Shape technology priorities, develop talent, and guide investments connecting scientific innovation with manufacturing execution.
• Influence Asymchem’s technology direction while delivering measurable progress in engineering capability and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Substantial pharmaceutical development, engineering, or manufacturing experience, typically 15+ years, with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated success advancing engineering capabilities or technology platforms.
• Strong chemical engineering fundamentals and depth in one or more relevant process technologies.
• A collaborative leader who develops talent and earns trust across functions.
• Credibility with clients, technical experts, and executives.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin a plus, but not required.

Requirements

• Experience implementing process automation, advanced controls, or continuous manufacturing is desirable.
• Experience with peptides or oligonucleotides and external technology partnerships are desirable.
• Domestic and International Travel as required. Approximately 40%.
