Role Description

The Vendor Alliances Consultant Lead (VAC Lead) is part of the Vendor Alliances (VA) Consulting team, which is accountable for high-value strategic vendor management activities. The VAC Lead serves as the primary resource, mentor, and subject matter expert for the Vendor Alliances Consultants (VACs), providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance team performance and capability.

• Maintains responsibility for a portfolio of the organization's most complex and strategic vendor relationships.
• Partners with VACs to address challenging vendor situations, negotiations, and stakeholder needs.
• Advances strategic vendor management, negotiation, and value realization initiatives.
• Drives the consistent application of vendor governance, risk management, cost optimization, and best practices across the Vendor Alliances function.
• Ensures the team delivers measurable business value and supports organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a Vendor Management, Vendor Contracting, and/or Vendor Procurement environment, or similar experience.
• Proven record of successfully leading initiatives, projects, and process changes at the enterprise level.
• Mastery of Vendor Management, Vendor Contracting, and/or Vendor Procurement concepts.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Juris Doctorate or master’s in business administration preferred.

Travel
