Role Description

This position works closely with and engages business and technical stakeholders of the FedEx Logistics Value Stream. The Value Stream Business Architect will:

• Understand the interrelationship among the defined FedEx Logistic Value Streams and their influence on the overall FedEx Logistics strategic business vision.
• Articulate and communicate the connection between the identified business needs and the developed capabilities of the Value Stream roadmaps.
• Understand the impact and influence of broader industry and technology trends on the FedEx strategic business vision.
• Combine working knowledge of functional specific business strategy and technical solution impact knowledge to deconstruct complex concepts into smaller, simplified components.
• Demonstrate relevant strategic and technical experience to perform the business architecture of an established Value Stream.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with Portfolio business architects, business and IT Value Stream owners, and IT partners to understand and document company strategy for a Value Stream.
• Conducting a current state assessment for contextual rationale and level of change effort.
• Making recommendations on transition plans with sequencing.
• Collaborating with Portfolio Business Architects and Services IT Architects to apply architectural principles to break down company Portfolio epics into actionable capability groupings for the Value Stream teams.
• Leading collaboration efforts with the Business and IT architecture community to translate Value Stream goals and needs into actionable roadmaps.
• Supporting the SAFe Portfolio Kanban process by breaking down portfolio epics into smaller, Portfolio backlog bundles of work.
• Working with Portfolio Business Architects to synchronize value stream execution with the strategic roadmap.
• Contributing to the continued growth in understanding and knowledge of Business Architecture practices, processes, and tools throughout FedEx.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in Engineering, Math, IT systems, or a related discipline that analyzes complex themes and translates them into smaller, simplified components.
• Three (3) years of experience in creating business capability roadmaps and deconstructing complex concepts.
• Five (5) years preferred experience in a role with demonstrated strategic and technical impact in large organizational-wide projects.
• In-depth knowledge of company operations and the broader FedEx enterprise.
• Certification in Business Architecture preferred.
• Must have Cargo Wise, Brokerage, and Freight Forwarding experience.

Pay Transparency

The compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job, and other job-related factors.

Pay: 13,413.54 - 22,803.02 USD Monthly

Remote: 9AM - 5PM Monday - Friday
