[Hiring] Trainee Risk Consultant @AXA

Role Description

This position will provide consulting services for property and natural hazards in Canada. The position requires application of strong technical background and practical experience to identify and mitigate property and Nat Cat risk exposures for a broad range of project types and customers.

• Conduct onsite visits to assess Property and Nat Cat exposures and develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards.
• Provide technical consultation and plan reviews of fire protection systems, fire alarms, construction, etc.
• Build credibility with and create customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk engineering services.
• Work directly with clients to improve their property risk profile.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets and local requirements.
• Knowledge of fire protection or willingness to learn.
• Engineering or Science based undergraduate degree.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects.
• Ability to make technical information and recommendations understandable to a broad range of audiences.
• Self-starter, capable of managing their schedule and resources.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
