Role Description
This role involves supporting the Defense Health Agency as a Total Force Fitness (TFF) System for Tracking and Recording Innovative Vital Efforts (STRIVE) Subject Matter Expert III.
- Support the provision of program management consulting services to ensure projects align with OUSD(P&R) strategic goals.
- Assist in optimizing the readiness, resilience, and human performance of Service members and their families.
- Conduct interviews with leadership across OSD and Service-level prevention/human performance programs.
- Coordinate a DoD-wide data call on prevention efforts.
- Analyze interviews and data call responses; develop a Findings Report.
- Research US Armed Forces, International Armed Forces, and industry best practices related to readiness and human performance.
- Develop leadership briefs and SITREPs as needed.
- Provide insights from previous military/DoD service to shape STRIVE communication and engagement processes.
- Support the design and development of projects/solutions using Human Centered Design and User Experience best practices.
- Conduct research among DoD customers and users to measure satisfaction with services, readiness, and human performance.
- Synthesize and analyze findings; support solution recommendations based on research findings.
- Assist with organizational assessment and refinement efforts across the P&R portfolio.
- Support strategic communications, engagement, and outreach planning.
- Research, write, edit, and coordinate leadership briefs and stakeholder reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Current, active Secret security clearance.
- 10+ years’ experience in DoD readiness, resilience, and human performance.
- Experience with the Total Force Fitness (TFF) System for Tracking and Recording Innovative Vital Efforts (STRIVE).
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research among DoD customers and users.
- Experience in design and development using Human Centered Design and User Experience best practices.
- Experience in conducting assessments of P&R programs focused on readiness and human performance optimization.
- Experience with strategic communications and outreach planning.
- Experience with research, writing, editing, and coordination for leadership briefs and stakeholder reports.
- Must be able to support East Coast time zone.
- Outstanding communication skills and client focus.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
