Role Description

The Team Lead, Reimbursement Director (TL) serves as a critical player-coach within the ANI Rare Disease Patient Support organization, balancing direct patient access responsibilities with day-to-day leadership of a team of reimbursement professionals. This highly visible role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring consistent execution across patient cases, and fostering a high-performing, patient-centric team culture.

• Maintain a portfolio of complex or escalated patient cases.
• Provide frontline leadership, coaching, and oversight for Reimbursement Directors, Reimbursement Managers, Reimbursement Specialists, and Field Case Specialists.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for reimbursement challenges.
• Support team development through ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Drive consistency in patient experience, compliance, and access outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to remove access barriers and ensure timely access to therapy.
• Identify trends, improve processes, and elevate overall program performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of experience working in a patient access role for a specialty medication
• Demonstrated expertise with both pharmacy and medical benefit in a specialty disease market
• Strong collaboration with Hub partners and cross-functional colleagues
• Familiarity with OIG guidance, HIPAA guidelines and FDA protocols
• Ability to travel up to 25% with some evening and weekend commitments
