Role Description

As a Remote Tagalog Interpreter, you will provide accurate and efficient interpretation in various settings, facilitating effective communication between English and Tagalog speakers.

• Provide over-the-phone and video consecutive interpretation in medical, legal, and social service environments.
• Accurately convey messages while maintaining professional neutrality and confidentiality.
• Research terminology to ensure a thorough understanding of specialized fields.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity to bridge gaps between diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Native-level or near-native fluency in both Tagalog and English (C1/C2 level).
• Ability to handle high-pressure or sensitive situations with grace.
• Outstanding listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.
• Previous interpretation experience is preferred, but we welcome all highly skilled candidates!

Requirements

• OS: Windows 10/11 or macOS 12.7+ (fully updated). Note: Remote/Virtual PCs are not permitted.
• CPU: Intel 6th Gen (i5-6xxx) or AMD equivalent; 8GB RAM minimum.
• Internet: Wired connection via Starlink, xDSL, Coaxial, or Fiber. (No LTE/4G or Wi-Fi).
• Audio/Video: USB wired headset with uni-directional mic; 1080p camera.
• Background: Solid white or blue background with good lighting (ring lights recommended).
• Attire: Formal business attire (e.g., blouses, formal shirts/ties).
