Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer 3 to lead complex systems engineering efforts with a strong emphasis on personal and environmental safety. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, safety engineering knowledge, and a proven ability to deliver innovative, safety-compliant solutions in support of mission-critical defense programs.

• Lead systems engineering activities with a focus on safety requirements, hazard analysis, and risk mitigation across the full system lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain Safety Management Plans, hazard analyses, and environmental impact assessments.
• Ensure compliance with DoD safety standards and regulations.
• Integrate personal and environmental safety requirements into system architectures and designs.
• Conduct and support Safety Reviews, including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and System Safety Working Groups (SSWG).
• Collaborate with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers on safety engineering best practices.
• Support proposals, design reviews, and customer interactions related to safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with demonstrated focus on safety engineering.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.

Requirements

• Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment.
• Environmental compliance and impact assessment.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama).
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DoD safety regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Combined Salary Range: USD $100,219.00 - USD $111,180.00 /Yr.
