As a Sustainability Analyst, you will support sustainability strategy, reporting, disclosure, and advisory engagements for real estate clients. Working closely with Project Managers, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams, you will combine research, data analysis, report writing, and project coordination to help clients respond to evolving investor expectations, voluntary frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organizational sustainability priorities. This role offers the opportunity to build your ESG expertise while taking on increasing responsibility across a variety of client engagements.

Your Impact as a Sustainability Analyst

  • Support the preparation of sustainability disclosures, assessments, reports, and framework-aligned content for real estate companies, funds, and portfolios.
  • Assist with GRESB submissions and related evidence review, performance analysis, gap identification, and action planning.
  • Contribute to sustainability reporting and disclosure work aligned with applicable frameworks and client needs, including GRI, SASB, IFRS or ISSB, SFDR, and UNPRI.
  • Review source documentation, organize supporting evidence, and help maintain clear records of assumptions, methodologies, references, and approvals.
  • Perform quality-control reviews to confirm that deliverables are technically accurate, internally consistent, clearly written, and ready for client use.
  • Conduct research on sustainability standards, reporting frameworks, market practices, regulations, and emerging ESG topics relevant to client engagements.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative information, identify key findings, and translate technical material into concise, client-ready insights.
  • Support greenhouse gas inventories, target-setting analyses, climate risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, materiality assessments, and verification-related work, based on project needs and experience.
  • Prepare and refine presentations, reports, trackers, templates, narratives, and other project deliverables using established quality and formatting standards.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal tools, templates, methodologies, research libraries, and repeatable project resources.
  • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery, including work planning, project team coordination, meeting preparation, administrative tasks, and production of deliverables.
  • Complete assigned work under the guidance of a Project Manager while independently managing defined tasks, deadlines, follow-ups, and quality checks.
  • Track multiple concurrent project tasks, maintain awareness of overall project schedules and dependencies, and communicate status, questions, and potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Participate in client and project-team meetings, document decisions and action items, and support clear follow-through across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including client communications, project updates, working files, data sources, evidence, and compliance records.
  • Help provide a best-in-class client experience through responsiveness, professionalism, sound judgment, and consistently high-quality work products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, real estate, public policy, engineering, communications, or a related field.
  • A relevant advanced degree, professional credential, or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of one to two years of professional experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, real estate, consulting, corporate responsibility, climate, or a related field.
  • Professional experience with one or more of the following: GRESB, sustainability reports, SBTi target setting, GRI or SASB indexing, IFRS or ISSB reporting, climate risk assessments, SFDR, stakeholder engagement, double materiality assessments, ISO 14064 verification, greenhouse gas inventories, UNPRI, or sustainability consulting.
  • Collaborative team orientation and the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, peers, clients, and multidisciplinary contributors.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to organize information and communicate technical concepts in a practical, client-ready manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills, with a consistent focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Proactive and dependable work style, with the judgment to ask questions, surface risks, and move assigned work forward.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, adapt to changing project needs, and meet deadlines across multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a strong willingness to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience organizing and analyzing data in Excel is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the real estate industry and common sustainability data, reporting, and disclosure processes is preferred.
  • Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.

  • Comprehensive Benefit package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Health Savings Account and employer funded Health Reimbursement Account.
