Role Description

The Supervisor, Charge Capture plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely charge entry across the CAP sites. This leader oversees a team of charge capture specialists and is responsible for:

• Driving productivity
• Maintaining high-quality standards
• Implementing best practices that align with organizational goals
• Identifying trends impacting charge capture and communicating with the sites supported
• Mentoring the team while setting an example consistent with COH mission, vision, value, and bond
• Having a strong understanding of CPT/HCPCS and CMS/payer billing guidelines

Reporting to the Senior Revenue Integrity Manager, this role is pivotal in optimizing revenue cycle performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma/GED
• 3 years Charge Capture or Coding experience in Hospital or Physician healthcare setting
• 2 years of lead/supervisory experience
• Preferred: Associates degree in field is desirable
• Preferred: BA/BS degree
• Epic Revenue Integrity, Hospital and/or Professional Billing (Resolute)
• Training Courses in Strategic Pricing, Billing and Regulatory Compliance, Revenue Cycle
• Prior Supervisory experience or demonstrated experience leading teams or initiatives is required
• Must have 3+ years of Charge Capture/Revenue Cycle experience in a hospital or physician healthcare setting

Requirements

• Supervise and mentor a team of charge capture professionals across multiple facilities
• Monitor daily operations to ensure timely and accurate charge entry
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for continuous improvement
• Develop and implement standardized workflows, policies, and procedures for charge capture
• Establish productivity benchmarks and quality metrics to measure team performance
• Collaborate with clinical and financial departments to resolve charge discrepancies
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal audit standards
• Perform routine audits to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Revenue Integrity leadership to support compliance initiatives
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Revenue Integrity Manager on team performance and operational issues
• Prepare and present data-driven reports on productivity, quality, and charge capture outcomes
• Serve as a liaison between charge capture staff and other departments
• Participate in yearly budget preparation for the sites supported
• Other duties as assigned
