[Hiring] Superintendent - MEP Division @NexGen Contracting

Role Description

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the activities within his craft according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with subcontractors
• Performing quality control and safety checks
• Providing on-site direction
• Ensuring all OSHA guidelines are followed
• Working with vendors to ensure work meets all specifications

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of relevant experience
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is an added benefit, but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create accurate and punctual reports
• Good listening skills
• Ability to identify and interpret critical elements of a situation
• Effectiveness in planning and controlling work
• Motivating and developing subordinates
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to monitor construction schedules and advise on potential setbacks
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment

Requirements

• Manage a team of workers, including work schedule, project progress, and resource allocation
• Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs
• Collaborate with clients and Project Management to determine budget and timeline
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
• Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
• Maintain a daily log for job site operations
• Make changes in operations as necessary to meet construction deadlines
• Implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques

• Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud
